New Zealand Dominate as India Collapse for 46 in Bengaluru Test

India had a tough day in Bengaluru, being bowled out for just 46 runs by New Zealand in the first Test. The conditions were perfect for New Zealand’s bowlers, with Matt Henry taking 5-15 and Will O'Rourke picking up 4-22, as India’s batting lineup collapsed. Big names like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Ravindra Jadeja all got out for ducks, leaving Rishabh Pant (20) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (13) as the only players to reach double digits.

New Zealand took full advantage, finishing the day at 180-3, giving them a lead of 134 runs. Devon Conway was the standout with 91 from 105 balls, supported by Tom Latham in an opening stand of 67.

Henry said the overcast conditions after the toss helped their bowlers, though they had expected a flatter pitch. With New Zealand firmly in control, India will need a big fightback to stay in the match.
